About the Course
Welcome to PDC Studio’s Online Pole Training. In this programme, you’ll find video explanations of all Beginner 1 techniques and elements we teach in our studio. The online training’s curriculum is identical to our studio programme.
We divided the whole programme into 9 sessions, but some sessions are harder than others and may need you to work on them a couple more times. Our group classes are 60 mins, including the warm up and cool down. Our class structure includes a continuous repetition of certain foundational tricks and techniques, as well as some new additions in each session. Our Beginner 1 level ends with a class choreography and the online training includes that as well.
At first we recommend you allocate 45-60 mins at most for each session. Don’t overwork on any trick for too long. Repeat them 4 times on each side and if you cannot nail them, work on them again in a separate session. Some tricks (like climb and sit) will take a longer time to perfect.
Pole dance takes time. No, you won’t do those fancy tricks you see others do on social media in 4-5 months🙂. Those people are 10-15 year polers. If you rush things, you’ll get injured.
If you’re a complete newbie to pole, please start your pole journey with our Pole Anatomy: An Online Seminar. This seminar is the ONLY seminar in the world that explains the anatomic foundations of pole dance and it provides a comprehensive analysis/explanation of all the techniques you’ll need to master to become a pole dancer.
The poles have a universal standard: 45mm in diameter and two modes: spin and static. Cheap “stripper poles” or “dancing poles” you’ll see on online platforms for sale may not meet those standards. If you’re living in the US, UK or Euro zone, buy from X-Pole or Lupit Pole. If you’re based in Turkey or the MENA region, we can redirect you to our supplier SGS Poles (based in Istanbul) for high quality and safe equipment.
Here is a short clip to give you an idea what we teach and how we teach.
