Balasana / Child Pose
The name comes from the Sanskrit words bala, "child" and āsana, "seat" or "pose".

Benefits:
Stretches the hips, thighs, lower back, ankles and knees.
Helps relieve fatigue. Calms the mind and the body. Can be used as a resting pose any time.
This pose represents the child-like quality of innocence, surrender, and trust.
Focus: The spine should remain relaxed in the forward fold and the focus should be on breathing by watching how the chest and abdomen push towards the thighs. Just being aware of how the body moves brings a sense of calmness in the breath, making the practice very relaxing and de-stressing.
Who should not do it: Those who had a recent surgery or have an ongoing injury on their ankles, shoulder, knees, or hips are advised to avoid this pose.
